We live in the desert so the Palm theme resonates. The color scheme is brilliant and perfect. We would like to see more from this artist. Where do we look?
Artist's Description
Originally, this painting was started about 5 years ago. I've always had an interest in castles and Dracula/vampires, so finding a picture of his real castle in Transylvania (supposedly) was especially attractive to me. The only problem I have is I'm tremendously terrible with architectural work. Anything with straight lines is quite challenging to me.
About Karen Wheeler
Karen was a resident of Henderson, NV for many years and was the only surviving professional artist in Southern Nevada with a neuromuscular disease. She unexpectedly passed away on May 31, 2018, but her art will live on. She has artwork in the Ocotillo Gallery, AZ, Art Access in Reno, NV and her greeting cards are sold throughout the West Coast. She has collectors all over the world, a list of which includes Julian Lennon, Phil Collins, Shadoe Stevens, Justin Hayward, Joan Rivers, Steven Seagal, Damon Wayans and Ozzy Osbourne. She was the founder of the Spirit of Art Group and she liked to work with local artists.
