Description
Carved stones set along a short, meditative path mark the Stations of the Cross at San Antonio's Mission San Juan Capistrano.
Jerusalem's Via Dolorosa ("The Way of Suffering) recounts for Christian pilgrims the final steps of Christ from taking up his cross to crucifixion and burial to await Resurrection Sunday. Those unable to walk the path in Jerusalem recapitulate the journey through the fourteen Stations of the Cross in churches, cathedrals, missions, and retreat centers around the world. Art forms, ranging from the simple to ornate, depict each scene of Good Friday for the penitent pilgrim.
This subdued color image looks great on the wall of home or office.
The San Antonio Missions (The Alamo & San Antonio Missions National Historical Park) is an inscribed UNESCO World Heritage Site.
