This piece is very true to it's picture very defined. The cup itself is of fine quality as well. The story behind it was beautiful to read. When I look at it, it will take me back to the first time that I saw and read the story. Glad I took the time to purchase. No regrets!

Amazing Beautiful
The path to hermitage called San Juan de Gaztelugatxe off the coast of Biscay near Bilbao Spain is said to be 241 steps. It might look intimidating when viewed from the bottom. But the views along the way are so beautiful that you stop often to enjoy them and/or take photos so it hardly seems like the effort you first imagined. Nevertheless, in the winter it was relatively quiet and uncrowded. The islet on which the hermitage sits is on the coast of Biscay near the town of Bakio with the wild Bay of Biscay all around. It is connected to the mainland by a man-made bridge. The hermitage at the top sits 80 meters above sea level. It is named Gaztelugatxeko Doniene in Basque or San Juan de Gaztelugatxe in Spanish, and is dedicated to John the Baptist. There are some indications that it might date from the 9th century, but firmer evidence of i...

Although travel and photography were dual interests from a young age, the coming of the digital camera provided undreamed of opportunities and unleashed previously untapped creativity. My photographic goal is to travel the world in a curious yet respectful way, taking the time to see and understand the unique story of each place I visit. Wherever I go I want to walk every street, hike every trail, ride the bus or metro, climb every tower, walk around and through every monument, and then do it all over again when the light changes. In every place, light, mood, color, and...
