Description
My father loved this old Kamaka ukulele that he bought in Honolulu many years ago. You can still see the scratches he made in the wood while stroking it. As a child we sang old tunes that he liked. He's no longer with us, but I have memories, and his ukulele. Strokes of time indeed.

A beautiful old instrument and memory of your late father. May he rest in peace! Does the sound of the ukulele improve over time in the same way as violins and cellos do?
James Temple replied:
Aloha Kathryn and thank you for your comment. I would only guess that the ukulele does improve with time. James

Great memories for a great shot.
James Temple replied:
Thanks Darice, my dad died at age 72. It's strange that I took this shot yesterday, and was reminded by my brother today that he died on this day in 1988.
