There are subjects that I return to continually; Fountain Square Park, pears, landscapes, food, wine and the still life. I love the series concept because I can build up a steady momentum and continue refining as I create more artwork about the subject.

I keep most of my artwork full of color, some, I just use one color…sepia. I do not restrict my palette to what I see; I exaggerate reality to make an exciting painting. I want challenges, I need challenges and I strive for a successful art piece equipped with the following:
Composition, Color, Values and Movement; I want to keep the viewer occupied.

I have always believed in this little quote, “You are a part of every person you have ever met." Artists are perfect recipients of this quote...as artist we take in everything and create through it. We get inspired just by looking at everyday life....

I was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana and developed a keen interest in art at a very early age. On my ninth birthday, I began art classes with emphasis toward drawing, pastel, and oil painting. I work with many different mediums such as graphite, pen and ink, acrylics and pastel pencil; yet watercolor is my primary medium. I was awarded the 2014 Women of Achievement Award in Art granted by the Bowling Green Human Rights Commission. Besides being a full-time artist, I am a part-time contributor to SOKY Happenings Magazine where I reside as the artist in residence.
