I love this and it's situated behind me a little in my office. When I turn towards it, I'm reminded that there is always light and colour and to remember my roots. I have been wanting one of Cormac's pieces for a good while now and will buy an original maybe Christmastime. This is absolutely beautiful.

This painting is a celebration of life. Her face is a single rose petal, her dress is crinkled crepe paper. I used interference paint for the sparkle and shine.
About Lisabeth Billingsley
I graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, and worked in the fashion business for the next twenty-five years. I learned color, texture, balance and composition from my jobs. I spent two years in Haiti , teaching scuba diving and immersing myself in the exotic culture of the Island. I learned from the unschooled Haitian painters who had incredible talent and no money. I have collected some wonderful Haitian art. When I moved from New York to a farmhouse in Lyme I planted flower gardens from seeds. Unwilling to see the flowers die, I pressed them, using everything from the Oxford Dictionary to wooden screw presses and a microwave press. I used the pressed flowers to create pictures.
