Sun Rise on Lake Northwestern metal print by Sven Brogren. Bring your artwork to life with the stylish lines and added depth of a metal print. Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).
All metal prints ship within 3 - 4 business days and arrive "ready to hang" with mounting hooks and nails.

My brother was the astronaut who shot this photo on the STS 58 mission; since he was photographing on behalf of NASA, his name is not directly linked to the photo. He was passionate about mountains, to include climbing. He was featured in National Geographic, noting that their map of Everest allowed him to specifically identify that he had captured the view of K2. It is a nice piece of art in its own right, but the backstory is meaningful to our family and we are glad we could acquire this art. We have bought both an acrylic version and a metal version; both are great mediums for this specific photo.

About Sven Brogren
My art got a young start. I can remember doing pencil drawings of distorted figures around age 10. About two years later, I got a kodak instamatic camera for x-mas. I went straight into the woods and started shooting. My Dad was impressed with my work and gave me my first SLR (Minolta SRT-101)camera. I was off to the races. I just love being creative. I feel that's why i am here is to make beautiful things for others to enjoy. I never taken class in photography. I have learned by doing or by reading Outdoor Photographer and by getting inspired by the work of other artists. Then in 2006, I got my first digital SLR.
