Perfect beach for a Florida Keys sunrise! Nice facilities as well. We visited for sunrise and sunset.
Sombrero Beach is located in the town of Marathon, which is in the middle Keys. The beach itself shows a range of sediment from fine carbonate sand to gravel. Pleistocene limestone bedrock is exposed as a rock platform, and shows karstic features. Just offshore, sea grass beds alternate with zones of mobile sand.

Beautiful. I go to this beach at, once a year. I just love Marathron. I would retire down there, but I can not even afford a an old trailer. I still get to visit, often. Beautiful Phot

Thank you so much Victoria! I agree..we love it there. It it's way out of reach. So glad you like the photo. We arrived & had to use a flashlight to set up before sunrise. This one was taken not long after sunrise.
