Karen Cattel is a special artist and her whimsical art looks great on the two sturdy totes I purchased. One is a gift for a friend and the other is for me. I love them.

I so appreciate being able to have this old-fashioned outdoor dinner scene on a tote bag. It is adorable. Thank you for making it available.

I noted that the color came out differently on this size of bag, it is distinctly more purple. I happen to love that color also--the larger size has perfect color, exactly like the photo. I love both of my bags.

Have not received my Can’t send photo…. Have not received my purchase
This 40 x 30 oil painting depicts the Grand Canyon at sunrise with a bare tree in the foreground. Painted from a reference photo from a trip to Arizona with my daughter.
I paint in a representational style in oil or acrylics, mostly on archival gessoed panels but I have done some recent paintings on gallery wrapped canvas. I paint in the representational style because I love detail but with a bit of a painterly twist. Since I find my inspiration in nature I try to take a painting trip at least once a year. While I do some plein aire painting on these trips I also take a lot of photographs which I use as reference for my studio paintings. My most recent trips were to Sedona AZ and Gabriola Island, BC. My hope is that my paintings can inspire the viewer to appreciate the beauty of nature as much as I do.

I would sincerely doubt it, that's one of the things that made it so amazing seeing it in your picture...I wrongly assumed you painted it from a recent photo meaning somehow it was still there. Now I know it was taken in the 90's the same as mine, I reckon it rotted and fell into the canyon...If you ever go back there, please let me know what you find!
Beverly Theriault
Thanks, David. Actually, the reference photo for this piece was taken in the early 90's when my daughter and I were there on vacation. I wonder if the tree is still standing?
DAVID ELLISTON
Oh my goodness I know that tree! I have an enlarged photo of this tree hanging in my hallway from a picture I took in 1998...It looked dead then! Anyway, lovely atmospheric piece.
