Description
Sunset Afterglow in the Center of Rockport (Rockport, Mass, 1943) was painted in the summer of 1943, when Jeri Borst was 19 years old. This was the summer between High School and College. It was painted while studying under the tutelage of Stanley Woodward.

Thanks Sharon! When this hung on the wall of the dinning room in my childhood home, it was in a room painted with a matte pale teal on the walls and an even paler shade of the same hue on the ceiling. The painting was not very large, but the room complemented it so well, it was really quite magical. -Jeri's daughter

Hello Jeff, thank you so much, for featuring one of my Mom's Rockport watercolors, from the summer of 1943! I have fond memories of this painting, hanging in the dining room of my childhood home, in the 1970s.
