I bought this tapestry for my mother who is in the final stages of lung caner. I wanted to brighten her room and bring her some cheer. I paid extra to have it shipped Next Day Air. We received the package 5 days after ordering. However, I was very diappointed at the taperstry when I opened it. It is very blurry and distorted. The fabric is OKAY somewhat thin, but not terrible. I have ordered many tapestries from another company recently as Christmas gifts for 1/2 the price that are way better quality and very clear and vibrant. I will not order again from Fine Art America....

Excellent quality. I am so pleased with my purchase, it's much better than I imagined. The image is crisp clear and the fabric is very good quality and hemmed all around. I have bought it to hang in my apartment in Tenerife which we have called The Kestrels as these birds fly and hover around it all day. I can't wait to return and hang it on the wall.

This is becoming the focal point of a four poster bed canopy.

It’s been almost two months and I still haven’t gotten my package after contacting Fine Art America multiple times. Would not buy from them again.

Is so perfect the way that this tapestry fits my bedroom wall! Love it

Artist's Description

A winter storm was approaching Singleton Lake as reveals by the large arch of the deformation zone advancing steadily from the western horizon. Even though the storm was steadily advancing northeastward, the winds in the atmosphere frame of reference where the clouds live were perpendicular to this motion and the gravity wave clouds. The clouds looked like a zipper, unzipping. These clouds were moving from the northwest meaning that the col of the deformation zone was thus further to the northwest as well. This facthad the implication that the thrust of the system would be over northeastern Ontario and not over Singleton Lake. This diagnosis was also consistent with the thinner cloud layers in the warm conveyor belt of the approaching system. The zipper pattern in the gravity waves was caused by a slight convergence in the system relative winds with the point of the zipper pointing to the convergence line and slightly strong winds. The reverse is also true when the zipper is pointing...

About Phil Chadwick

Trained at Queens University as a nuclear physicist, Phil the Forecaster has been a professional meteorologist since 1976. Painting has however been his passion forever. For ten years, he studied under the late Mario Airomi, a famous Italian artist. Phil paints what he knows best: weather, nature, canoes and his family. There are not enough hours in the day to record the inspiration that abounds. Phil paints mainly en plein air striving for impressionistic realism. Something intangible and sometimes magical enters the art when one is actually out in the elements surrounded by inspiration. Bold colours and shapes can be found in the natural world if you only look. Phils art hangs in many private and corporate collections around the...
