This looks cool on a "boat bag"! Anyway, San Diego, in Southern California was hosting the Festival of Sail and the tall ships were docked downtown at the city embarcadero when this photo was taken in August, 2014. A tall ship is a large, classic, traditionally-rigged sailing vessel. Popular tall ship rigs include topsail schooners, brigantines, brigs and barques. Tall Ships can be defined more strictly for purposes of a particular race or festival. San Diego Bay is a natural harbor and deep water port located in San Diego County, California near the U.S. & Mexico border, called the Big Bay by the Port Commission. One of the best natural harbors on the North American west coast, it was claimed by Spain in 1769.
