The landscape dances fantastic with great fields of yellow wild flowers stretching, moving, undulating into the distant reaches of a magical mountain valley full of shifting shadow and wondrous delight. Not quite the land of Oz, yet the scarecrow would be comfortable here.
I began this painting in 2009 and finished and signed it in 2015. Most of the changes made during that time were not major in their technique, but substantive in their effect in creating the depth of field specifically in the manner of the moving the flowers from front to back, from distinct to less distinct
