Description
My nephew, an army veteran, served two tours in Iraq. He then went through Officer Training and earned his commission. While he was busy with all that, he managed to fall in love and marry a wonderful gal. They had a beautiful destination wedding in Hawaii. Then, they decided to have a wedding reception here in the States for the family and friends who could not make it to Hawaii. While at the reception, Daniel took off his cover and plunked it on his mom�s head. This is a family that knows how to have fun and show their love for each other in meaningful ways.
Being an Air Force veteran myself, I remember making the commitment to always put the mission before anything else. I almost titled this piece, �My Original C.O.,� but the military part of me wouldn�t let me do it. I know that in his own way, Daniel was telling his mom thank you for everything she has done and sacrificed for him.
I have gifted this piece to Daniel's grandmother.
