A photograph of just some of the many thousands of the public attending the November 13, 1982 "Dedication and Opening" of The Vietnam Veterans Memorial, designed by the then 21-year-old Landscape Architect Artist, Maya Lin, who was then, a student in the School of Architecture at Yale University. The Vietnam Veterans Memorial is a National Memorial in Washington, D.C. It honors U.S. service members of the U.S. armed forces who fought in the Vietnam War, service members who died in service in Vietnam/Southeast Asia, and those service members who were unaccounted for or 'Missing-In-Action' (MIA) during the course of the War.
