Great drawing of the Beatles!!

Sean Connolly replied:

Thank you kindly.

Wow! My family and I saw this show! My mom liked them, but my dad thought they needed haircuts! My brother and I went to see them at Shea Stadium, N.Y, when I was 11. My brother, who plays drums, cried for Ringo!!!

Sean Connolly replied:

Thank you for your nice comment Meryl (my father that night: "I heard they were boys - who are these girls?"). You're fortunate to have seen them live. I didn't, but I had a brush . . one August day in 1966 I was on the Boston subway, destination Revere Beach. Along the way the cars filled up with excited & exciting girls, all decked out in John, Paul, George & Ringo paraphernalia. Hundreds of them exited at once at the Suffolk Downs stop. It was like the helium was let out of the balloon. I was unaware that the Beatles (who were right here in Revere!) were to play a concert that night. On a horserace track yet. Always wished I saw that show (but hey, I was 10).

Great drawing! it bring back so many memories for me.

I absolutely am in love with this purchase. It has been worn a few times already and has held up great after each wash with no fading, loss of shape or pealing. This graphic works best I think against the grey I chose. Love that this artist represents the beautiful diversity of our Puerto Rican culture. This image resonates with me being that I am Puerto Rican of mostly African descent. Thank you Ida Yvette Robles for representing all of us Boricuas!

This item arrived stained and dingy. The t-shirt itself has a stain on it and the color is absolutely nothing like the photo. The product detail has my image on a white tank top; however, the tank top that arrived looks like it was washed with a bunch of brown clothes and has a dirty look to it, aside from the stain. I took a picture of a Gildan white t-shirt I own (thats been washed several times already) with the tank top I received to show how dingy the tank looks. I've opened a ticket regarding a refund or replacement on this item and still have yet to hear back from anyone. Yet again, not a good first impression for this company.

Artist's Description

This artwork was completed Nov 30, 1991. Dateline Feb 9, 1964: "These youngsters from Liverpool who call themselves 'The Beatles'" (Ed Sullivan), were beamed into the American public's psyche on that Sunday night. The band's performance surpassed their hype. Electric guitars; American rock and roll; British accents; Cuban heels; Beatle boots; Mop tops; Piercing screams; Mania reigned. I tried to transfer that electricity to paper with McCartney, Harrison and Lennon projecting out of the TV screen (or transistor radio speaker?). The black and blue horizontals suggest a vintage television broadcast. The band at top, on the left and right, is split by an overhead bird's-eye view of the group, as if they were actual beetles. © 1991 Original Sean Connolly Concept And Drawing
