Many years ago, my uncle Thomas (Tom) Phillip Hufford asked me to come up with a word the opposite of predator. Amitor is that word. Ami: Fr. friend, Amigo: Sp. friend, Amity: Eng. harmony, Ami: Formosa, Taiwan. Giraffe: non predatory animal unless young attacked. Butterflies: live, love, laugh, hope. Survive, thrive and inspire others. Pen Sherwood offered to do this Amtor artwork for free sharing the copyright with me for my Amitor concept. Amitor Tom would be so proud. Diana Hays Kisselburg

Artist's Description

The carpenter is a piece about my father who built things with tools. Many of the tools on this piece are his. The coffee cup can pull out under the water spiket and can catch the water that drips out of it. Or it can be moved and the water can drip into a bucket placed on the floor. It inspired me to make my own sculpture from found objects. During this time I also became...
