Brussels Grand Place (or Grote Markt) is indeed very grand and most worthy of its title. Surrounded by spectacular architecture, predominantly from the late 17th Century, this historic cobblestone market square in the very heart of the city, is always a hive of activity. Visitors from all over the world come here to admire the palatial grandeur of La Grand Place. Pictured here is the gothic style Town Hall (Hotel de Ville), dating all the way back to the middle ages and still in use for civic purposes including marriages. I added a little texture to complete the nostalgic feel.
