Beautiful art work. I just wish the water in the phot was more visible. I guess because it was on wood the water is shadowed. I’m attaching a photo.

Back story to my purchase...This bird showed up at my house on the 28th of November. It is not native to Vermont! He came every day to my back deck where I fed the other birds in the area, bunking out in the bottom floor of my barn when the weather became very harsh (Vermont Winters!) Unfortunately he did not survive a week of below zero weather at night, and blustery cold winds and highs in the single digits during the day that we had mid-January. I was crushed. I have no idea where he came from but enjoyed his presence for many many weeks. My purchase captured him perfectly. Gone but never forgotten. Thank you for my daily reminder of a stranger who became a friend.
Artist's Description
This is quite an old photo (around 1980-1981) with a great personal significance and emotional load. I took the photo with a Zenith (the best SRL camera available to me, a Soviet-Russian one, with great lenses and lousy mechanism) and the young woman in the photo is my wife of 32 years now. At the time we were at the beginning of our relationship, she was 22 years old, and soon to become my wife and the mother of my 3 children.
About ITI Ion Vincent Danu

I am a Canadian visual artist, born in Sibiu, Transylvania, Romania. I loved to draw as an infant and between 14 and 18 I was an "apprentice artist" at the Art High School in Sibiu. Then life took over and for about 20 + years art was just an occasional delight... I've returned to my first love, drawing, painting, in Sherbrooke, Quebec, were I've immigrated with my family in the nineties. Since 2003, I'm a full-time professional artist... I paint mostly in watercolor and acrylics but I cannot stop myself experimenting with all kinds of other themes, materials and styles (The art dealers say this is not good but what the heck!?) I've learned to take pictures since I was 11-12 years old and a camera is always somewhere near. I use...

Lourry Legarde
It's Ok to be sentimental. I can be one at times but I don't like too much sentiment. It can drive me nuts after a while. =)
Lourry Legarde
A truly sentimental and a beautiful capture, Ion. Great lighting, detail and mood.
ITI Ion Vincent Danu replied:
Thank you Lourry! From time to time, it happens to be at the good place, with the good light and (it doesn't hurt) with a heart full of love. Nah, I'm getting sentimental...

Ion the tender capture of beautiful moment in time. A grand photograph my friend. (I recall the Zenith - your description of the camera is perfect) - v/f
ITI Ion Vincent Danu replied:
Generous as usual, bob, thanks! I like this too and not only for its sentimental value... and yes, Zenith had great lenses... and I had also a 300 mm gun I could use with it... I remember it quite fondly! And you had to know a things or two about photography in order to get good pictures...
Lenore Senior
Absolutely beautiful and sensitive work. Fave.
ITI Ion Vincent Danu replied:
Very glad you like it, Lenore! Thanks!
