About Fremont Thompson
Fremont Thompson; a brief autobiographical statement I was born in Cincinnati Ohio to an Irish mother and a father of Scottish, English, and German descent. My fatherοΏ½s earliest traceable ancestors arrived in this country amidst the Revolutionary war. One had been a Tory, the other a rebel. They, my ancestors went on to intermarry within the human fabric of the United States. My Mother is a Catholic, my father a Protestant, a dangerous mix in their ancestral lands. It was obviously a good mix for them as they had seven children, I being the second from last. I lived and went to school in Detroit, Michigan. Detroit is well known for its high crime rate and racial divisiveness. I did not find it that way, instead I found...

Wow! This image grabbed me by the collar and pulled me inside where I spent the next 25 minutes visiting every nook and cranny. So much detail not to mention 3 hands, multiple portraits, still life, shadow play from a candle, a crystal ball, and even water droplets on a window. What an artistic challenge. One that you completely nailed! There are SO many subtle touches that make this just remarkable...almost missed the cat! Beautifully done Freemont. -L/F
