Description
The Baobab Tree grows in Africa and has a fasinating history. A few have been proven to be over 5000 years old. They were thought to be going extinct until it was discovered that the adult trees do not take this characteristic shape for many centuries. In the winter it looks like someone pulled it out by the roots and planted it upside down. I hope I captured some of the drama and pride of this ancient tree.
