Artist's Description
The large flag is one that is flown over the bank near the White Oak, Texas post office. The interpretation of the Pledge of Allegiance is one given by REd Skelton on his show on January, 14, 1969. He credited it as being said by his high school principal, Mr. Lasswell to students he thought had lost their pride in their country and who had recited the Pledge in a monotous tone. I remember hearing Red Skelton retelling this and even now, it sends a message home to me. May we all realize just what a great country we stand to lose.

It seems that I have always taken pictures! Mind you, I did not say I was always a photographer. I have taken photographs of a myriad of subjects from weddings, to sports, to family events, to portraits, and, just about anything that appealed to me! I have done work for the Tyler Morning Telegraph and its magazine, IN Magazine, covering various social events in the East Texas area. I have found that one never stops learning photographic techniques. Photography is much like life; part luck, part work, and part perseverance, with most of it being perserverance.
