I had held off purchasing any Super Bowl LVIII collectibles or memorabilia until I found something that I thought was just “awesome”. When I saw this SI Cover, I knew I had to have it. Honestly it’s one of the best photos I’ve ever seen. Along with the captions it captures what Super Bowl LVIII was all about. Your Photog was in the right place at the right time and did a great job of capturing what Chiefs fans all across the country felt at that moment. As you can see I had the perfect place for it, it makes this wall complete and up to date.

About Darwin Leon
Darwin Leon was born in 1972 in Santiago de las Vegas a small town in Havana, Cuba. In 1987, Leon's family sought refuge from the political and economical crisis in Cuba, and departed to Spain, then later continued to the United States to settle in Miami. Leon earned his Bachelors in Fine Arts from Miami International University of Art & Design, where he attended as a recipient of the "Visual Arts Scholarship Award of Excellence" and received Best in Show at his first Juried Student Exhibition. His first direction was expressed through religious portraits. However, he found a greater enthusiasm for figurative and expressionistic forms in which he incorporated satire and irony through surrealism and cubism. Leon's work is energetic, fresh,...

This paint is just creepy. Because it does portraits a rape. From de rapist's eyes. Never a portrait from the victms's eyes... hell, from any normal painter's eyes would be so peaceful and white. Look at the woman's face. Looks like she's enjoying. With her eyes shut and her lips just a bit open; her hand grasping the floor and the other just pointing at the sky.
Darwin Leon replied:
Thanks Sara....you had depicted perfectly...very poetic. Best,

This is a great work. One question, though - it says it's oil and acrylic. The dogma is that oil can go on acrylic (all commercial canvas is primed with acrylic) but it does not work the other way round. Did you paint acrylic on top of oil?
Darwin Leon replied:
Thanks Michael. This is acrylic base layer and then oils on top

This startling work certainly captures the violence, angst, confusion that happens in such a terrible event.
