The often inaccessible cliffs and sometimes rocky beaches of Central California are so rustic and beautiful you'll want to pull over on the coast highway often just to take it all in. Seals have plenty of safe beaches here. You might also spot pelicans or dolphins or an occasional pod of whales during migrating season.
