This was our first purchase from the site and we love it! It arrived quickly. We wanted something different for the guest bath and this art combined two of my husband's favorite things.The curtain has a quality feel to it and the design is bright I wasn't sure of the color combination at first (orangey red, navy, turquoise and a touch of black) but it works! We've received many compliments and chuckles. My only regret was not being able to fit the words on without using a border - I was unsure of the colors, etc. Bottom line is that we love what we received!!! LOVE it!

Whimsical teal three sailed boat afloat on a wavy sea on a night when the sky seems to be bronzed and swirling about. My art gallery is directly on the Elizabeth River, and we have numerous sailing events literally at our door step. I have never been on a sailboat, and have no idea how to run one...so I am quite confidant that none of my many sail boats that I have done are anything approaching realistic . Being more interested in playing with textures, and perhaps the paintings, ultimately I am more interesting in the saleability than in the sailablity of my sail boats!
I have been a producing artist for over 30 years, starting out as a potter/sculptor back in my native Michigan. I now paint, work with mixed media, and a bit of photography. . .and now and then, a little clay! I have become known primarily for my work in a dimensional, recycled mixed media w/acrylic, and all of my originals are also available as prints and as cards. Joining Fine Arts America has led me to pull out some of my old images, and to find a renewed interest and pleasure in the techniques and styles that I have passed through over the past few years.
