This is certainly one of my ultimate favorites. A photograph with sublime presentation. I am mesmerized by this woman.

I just love the sense of feminine power here. It is quite striking. Sensual, yet with some overall feeling of protection. Well done.

Renee has given us something rare. Regal beauty and mysterious sadness. Another of my favorites.

I truly love the depth of presentation here. She is wisdom and beauty with some hidden longing in her eyes. It hangs in a prominent location in my living room.

We're quite pleased with how this looks hanging in our home's entry.

Artist's Description

This old tree stood on the south east corner of the farm I grew up on. I always wanted to get a picture of my three daughters standing inside of it but I never did. It finally got tired and laid down about two years ago. It stood there, hollowed out as in the picture for well over 50 years. I know that because the first time I laid eyes on it was at least that long ago and it was hollow then. Considering it's size, and the fact it's been hollow over half a century, I would say there is a good chance it was a sapling when George Washington took the oath of office.

About Dan Theisen

Hi, My name is Dan Theisen. I've been drawing for close to fifty years now. I'm a self taught artist. I would have prefered to persue a formal education in the arts, however earning a living and raising a family didn't allow for that, so through trial and error I have developed and continue to develope my art into what it is today. Whether that is good or bad is yet to be determined, I guess I'll leave that up to the individual, some may like it and some not. The important thing in any art is that he or she, ( the artist ), must enjoy it, if that is accomplished then I would say the artist is successful. Though most of my work is in pencil, I do venture into acrylics and photography form time to time. My growing up on a farm is more...
