This is one of my best selling prints. Thank you to all the Art Collectors who have purchased.
Congrats on your sale.
Congrats on you sale!
I love it, very nice I invite you to join the group Vintage Auto Racing, you would be a good fit.
William, thanks for the comment. As I recall my only artistic license was floating the image of ole Shel above the scene with the enameled GT 350 logo. I think it was Shel who said the reason for the 350 because that was about how many feet away the Mustang was parked from his office when he was dreaming up a moniker. I did the painting about 7 or 8 years ago and the photo references I used were from races that took place somewhat before that time. A popular seller for prints this image is.
David, you are a very accomplished artist and your subjects show that you are a man who admires those with a passion for making their mark in life. Being a bit of a motorsports aficionado myself I am curious if you were using artistic license when creating the above or if the painting is actually from a recent SVRA race? I ask this as the "R" model out front has a 66 grille and the full-faced helmet was not normally used in auto racing until the late 1980's.
beautiful water color ...congrats on your sale
A superbly done watercolor imagery of this fine event, David! Love the "STANGS", and your creativity on this piece is just grandiose! Thanks for sharing, David, and you got the big, "Elvis" F/V on this wondrous piece of artwork!
Way to go David!
Thanks everyone for your great comments. Ya gotta love anything created by old "Shel".
