The Tree, was painted because I was experimenting with alot of color. Trees are one of my favorite subjects due to their complex structure. I also mixed marble dust in with the paint on the branches and upper part of the tree. The clouds were painted with a majority of oranges and blues. I had a teacher once tell me to never put these two together. I like them together it reminds me of those old book illustrations from the early part of the 20th century.

I have been painting now for 40 years. Non stop. I started painting when I was 13. Also sold my first piece when I was 13. I did the whole college thing for 6 years on and off. But I always wanted to paint my way. As Monet said: "Master of my own world". I always wanted to paint portraits. But other avenues took me through landscapes, experimental painting, abstract air brushing, and even crafts. I would paint on everything I could get my hands on. I always have to work.
