Description
The Guadalupe River runs through the middle of my hometown of Kerrville, TX, and is largely public parkland. One of my favorite places there is Tranquility Island, which is connected up to both banks of the river by bridges and hiking trails. It is a beautiful place to just sit and watch the river, and a favorite fishing and swimming spot as well. I took my reference photo on a brilliant day in early fall, when the bald cypresses were getting the first hint of orange in their foliage. Their trunks seemed almost bleached white in the bright sun, silhouetted against the shaded far bank of the river.

What a glorious winding road invitation...the trees...the shadows of fencing! I could stay here forever! Marsha, Perhaps some of my FAVORITES of your work involve your LOVE of your home state, Texas and the WONDERFUL historical-personal accounts you offer. I, too, love painting my life vignettes; that, along with our mutual love of THE Flow of Light and pigment has fueled our aesthetic FAA friendship. I am so grateful for the glimpses of ...S..h..e..e..r...Beauty that scintillates within your portfolio, Marsha!! Thank you for the many GLIMPSES ...LF
