My sister in law absolutley loves it. She sent a picture of it ot us. When we join her in Hawaii we will be looking for one for our own walls...I love the colors! If our walls weren't already filled here I'd already have one for myself as well...

Absolutely love this print. We converted our formal living room into a music, lounge, study, hang out space for our three tween boys. It’s perfect!

Great. I am very happy with the paint

Artist's Description

I wanted to try another painting of an airplane so I chose the venerable DC-3. Douglas aircraft came out with this bird in mid 1936. There are many of these classic aircraft still in service today. Not bad for being for being 72 years old ! My painting depicts a TWA painted airplane that crashed in a mountain meadow and is being used as a cabin. If the mountain looks familiar to those of you that live in Washington, it is the top of Chinook Pass.

About Gene Ritchhart

My name is Gene Ritchhart. I was born and raised in San Diego, Ca. My father was a career Navy man, thus my early years growing up were spent primarily in San Diego. After I graduated from El Cajon High School I joined the Army. While in the army I was the driver of an M113a1 Armored Personnel Carrier. While stationed in Mainz, Germany I found that I could make a little money selling my art work. After the army I used the GI Bill to go to college and attained an A.A.degree in Art. I currently live in the state of Washington where I am continuously inspired by this states beauty. Thanks for viewing my work.
