Wow, timing...fab.

Hello Victor, I was in the neighborhood and thought I would drop by... This is wonderful. There is a feeling of serenity in this photo, but also one of separateness. This brings to my mind the words of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow... "Ships that pass in the night, and speak each other in passing, only a signal shown, and a distant voice in the darkness; So on the ocean of life, we pass and speak one another, only a look and a voice, then darkness again and a silence". This photo reflects the truth of his words. It is sad to me that in life this also is true. We see others, and they us. We see the spark of their spirit, and then they are gone. We are left to contemplate the meaning of the light, and of the darkness. This is a superb photo. The lights reflecting in the water are wonderful, the horizon gives that impression of having traveled a great distance. As I was looking at this, for just an instant, it seemed the water was moving. A trick of the eye, I know, but tribute to the clarity of your photography.

Aah, the discerning eye of Victor Rugg does it again! Great mood and compositional balance. Wonderful! -- Joe.

About Acrylic Prints

Mounting Option #1

Mounting Option #2

Bring your artwork to life with the stylish lines and added depth of an acrylic print.   Your image gets printed directly onto the back of a 1/4" thick sheet of clear acrylic.

The image is the art - it doesn't get any cleaner than that!

All acrylic prints ship within 3 - 4 business days and arrive "ready to hang" with four aluminum mounting posts (Option #1) or hanging wire (Option #2).

The high gloss of the acrylic sheet complements the rich colors of any image to produce stunning results.

There are two different ways to mount your acrylic print.

Option #1 (Mounting Posts) - Attach your print to your wall with four aluminum mounting posts.   The cylindrical cap of each mounting post can be removed, allowing you to thread a small screw along the center axis of the of post and into the wall.   When you're finished, simply reattached each cap, and you're done.   The mounting posts act as stand-offs and keep your print separated from the wall by 1".   All of the required mounting hardware (i.e. posts, screws, and wall anchors) is included with your print.   Click here for mounting details.

Option #2 (Hanging Wire) - With this option, your acrylic print is attached to a 1/4" thick black board which has a wooden frame and hanging wire attached to the back.   There are no metal mounting posts at the corners.   Simply put a nail in your wall, hang your print from the hanging wire, and you're done.   Due to the thickness of the black board and mounting frame, your print is separated from the wall by 1.50"   Click here for mounting details.

Stunning artwork. The colors are very vibrant. I get compliments on this piece all the time. I was worried it wouldn’t be as pretty post purchase verses viewing online but this exceeded my expectations!

Where is this? It has not even shipped yet!

Ad said it has a hanging wire, it doesn’t. Has a big chunk of wood glued to the back with a hanging bracket. Acrylic distorts the picture in my opinion.

This rating is for Fine Art America only. Not the artist. I received this print on acrylic. It shows to have a silver back ground, but it was green-ish in real life. That didn't work for me so I needed to send it back. It cost me $32 to have it shipped, but $96....yes, NINETY SIX dollars to have it sent back. Fine Arts could have had a pre-printed label from their corporate account (like Amazon does) for it to be shipped back and then that ($32) amount deducted from my refund. They did not. So, basically I paid $120 to get a product that did not match the print online. Therefore, I will NEVER shop at Fine Art America again AND will warn everyone I know to beware.

About Victor Rugg

I have been taking photographs for as long as I can remember, I have worked for the Los Angeles Times,People Magazine, Donna Karen, Colonial Bank,Recovery Press,East Hampton Star, Wolffer Estate Vinyard,Kadampa,Mitchum Motorsports and other publications. My images can be seen in Books, Galleries, Magazines,The Web,Newspapers etc. I have been called a hidden image photographer. I try and capture images that we tend to miss. When the viewer gets what I am up to, they never see the world quite the same way again. I want to stop and mark time in a way that stimulates the viewer and gets them to question. I studied Art at Long Island University, where I recieved my Masters, but never stopped learning my craft. With the light as my partner and...
