Description
I love Ghost Ranch near Abiquiu, New Mexico. Accompanied by about 7 other women artists, we have been going there for the past 15 years for our annual painting trip. The original ranch is well over 100 years old and this is one of the oldest buildings on the property. Who could ask for a more perfect vacation? Meals are made for me, the hiking is outrageous, the company delightful and all I have to do is paint, eat, hike, read, play my guitar and fall asleep to the sound of distant coyotes. This is heaven on earth. I can sure see why Georgia O. decided to live and work here.

You have instantly transported me to a chair in the courtyard sunshine - I can hear the hens scratching about, smell the breeze and feel the sun on my face. Wonderful stuff, Anne. Thanks for the trip!

Anne, this is one of my favorites among your work. I love the whimsy and spontaneity here, how you captured a moment in time, and the open gate with the red door and green chair beckoning behind it like an invitation. Voted.
Anne Gifford replied:
Thank you so much, Jon. This was a charming building at Ghost Ranch in New Mexico where I go each year to paint. Glad you like it!

I love this place! You have captured it so well in your fantastic watercolor! I wonder if you know some artists (with initials B.C.) that I know have been there as well!! FV
