About Joy Hyde Third generation artist Joy Hyde was raised in the Arts from earliest childhood. Her early style and technique were inherited from several family members spanning two generations. As a young adult in the Santa Barbara area, she continued to develop he work in the company of friends who were well know California artists. Informal training at this time came from a member of the excellent staff of the Fine Arts Department in the renowned Brooks Institute of Photography. Joy's life in California also included a mixed pallet of memberships, shows, galleries and activities in the artistic community.
