congrats!

Thank you. I just looked at your portfolio and you do great work. I really like the underwater shots of the Polar Bear.

I love how realistic your paintings are.

I served on Spencer out of Staten Island,NY '59-61. How'd you like breaking ice off the superstructure on Bravo and Charlie? OOPS,forgot there were no Ocean Station patrols when you served, but maybe you still had to do it sometimes. They were a lot better sea keepers than the 255's and 311's. Bill

The Taney was still active when I served in he 80s. And we crossed paths several times. Then I lived near Baltimore for several years where she's retired. She looks in her prime here.

Thanks very much. Your ship was 311'; this ship is 327'.

Just had to tell you that your wave action is so real - great art ! Looks a bit like my ship, the Castlerock out of Boston. Riley

This is a wonderful piece .. I think that the sea especially is superb. All your work is fantestic....Karin B

Thanks, Debbie. I really, really like the way you handle a brush. Bill

I think we're a little far apart for lessons. I spent a lot of time at sea during my time in the Coast Guard so I aquired first hand knowledge of different seas and different oceans. You have done the same thing with your animals. It's obvious from your painting that you have studied your subjects well. Thanks for taking the time to comment. Bill

Responding to compliment on "Cleveland Bay".. but you know how to do water and make it look wet! Something I have NEVER been able to do.. you give lessons?

About Acrylic Prints

Mounting Option #1

Mounting Option #2

Bring your artwork to life with the stylish lines and added depth of an acrylic print.   Your image gets printed directly onto the back of a 1/4" thick sheet of clear acrylic.

The image is the art - it doesn't get any cleaner than that!

All acrylic prints ship within 3 - 4 business days and arrive "ready to hang" with four aluminum mounting posts (Option #1) or hanging wire (Option #2).

The high gloss of the acrylic sheet complements the rich colors of any image to produce stunning results.

There are two different ways to mount your acrylic print.

Option #1 (Mounting Posts) - Attach your print to your wall with four aluminum mounting posts.   The cylindrical cap of each mounting post can be removed, allowing you to thread a small screw along the center axis of the of post and into the wall.   When you're finished, simply reattached each cap, and you're done.   The mounting posts act as stand-offs and keep your print separated from the wall by 1".   All of the required mounting hardware (i.e. posts, screws, and wall anchors) is included with your print.   Click here for mounting details.

Option #2 (Hanging Wire) - With this option, your acrylic print is attached to a 1/4" thick black board which has a wooden frame and hanging wire attached to the back.   There are no metal mounting posts at the corners.   Simply put a nail in your wall, hang your print from the hanging wire, and you're done.   Due to the thickness of the black board and mounting frame, your print is separated from the wall by 1.50"   Click here for mounting details.

Where is this? It has not even shipped yet!

Ad said it has a hanging wire, it doesn’t. Has a big chunk of wood glued to the back with a hanging bracket. Acrylic distorts the picture in my opinion.

This rating is for Fine Art America only. Not the artist. I received this print on acrylic. It shows to have a silver back ground, but it was green-ish in real life. That didn't work for me so I needed to send it back. It cost me $32 to have it shipped, but $96....yes, NINETY SIX dollars to have it sent back. Fine Arts could have had a pre-printed label from their corporate account (like Amazon does) for it to be shipped back and then that ($32) amount deducted from my refund. They did not. So, basically I paid $120 to get a product that did not match the print online. Therefore, I will NEVER shop at Fine Art America again AND will warn everyone I know to beware.

I have seen this in person many times. I thought it would be nice to have a picture of it. I am so glad I got this.

I lived in the area and saw Mt. Rainier often. I used to call it "my" mountain. Now, I have a photo of it to remind me of its beauty.
