It was a beautiful piece and I will rate it as 5 star! Unfortunately it got here completely damaged, you should consider using one more reliable carrier. This is no way to do business. If you guys can’t deliver properly don’t sell. This was my first and last time I’ll ever order anything from fineartamerica.

We have a small home and very limited wall space, but I knew I had to share this on our main wall. I'll be putting it above our upright piano, to remind myself daily while practicing - embrace the transformation of bad and good, the transition of lightness and darkness - remembering we are whole.
Artist's Description
I was contacted by the "Save Umpqua Light" folks whose mission is to save the beautiful Fresnel Lens that has been at this lighthouse in Oregon for decades. It is red and white and quite unique. I am delighted to dedicate this painting to their most worthy of causes. This lighthouse was designed by Carl W. Leick, the German engineer who brought, "Light", to so many of our ports here in the Pacific Northwest. This pretty lighthouse is an architectural twin to the lighthouses at Elliot Bay in Seattle and Heceta Head in Oregon. Each site customized the design to fit the needs of their location.
About Anne Norskog

Art is in the eye of the beholder. I will not write in the third person here. That sounds pretentious and, most of the time, inaccurate. Being in the last third of my life, it becomes clear good health is the finest gift possible. Again, nature provides the most beautiful inspirations. Walk into your own garden. Stroll a beach or a path in the woods. Watch the sun and clouds or a kitten playing with a piece of string. Pay attention to the faces you see...they each tell their own story. Create something wonderful that has a piece of your own heart on it. The emotions that drive us human beings also drive our art. The viewer is respectfully reminded my works are copyright protected. Please visit me often. Kindest...

Hi Anne, I can not remember but I hope I thanked you for the nice comment you posted on my "Back Canals of Venice" piece. I've been off line for a few weeks. Your lighthouse work is delightful, refreshing and uplifting -- keep it up.

Thank you Lana. I painted this one for the Umpqua Conservation Group in Oregon. They are hoping to save the very unique Fresnel lens from being replaced by the Coast Guard. This lens is red and white and was built in France more than a century ago.

Thank you Chris. The folks at the lighthouse group tell me their big festivities will be at the end of September. I can hardly wait to get to go. :-D

Thanks Kevin. I paint a new sky for every new work. I enjoy the process (a bit like fingerpainting)!

Nice work. You have changed up your sky and I like it.
