Wedding Day! …a day we dream of and long for where we plan to start the rest of our lives with the one person we cherish most on this earth. It’s a thrilling day—the culmination of a blissful, joyous time where we make wonderful memories to help carry us through the hard times ahead. But on this day, a day of reflection of the past in the two lives brought together, there is great hope for their futures…a Promise of Togetherness. Much Love. Much happiness. Truly, a great time in our lives.
In August 2012, I attended this very special wedding...my art mentor's daughter got married in the place of her dreams at the foothills of Chautaqua in Boulder, Colorado. I composed this piece from a couple of different photos that I took. I decided to leave out the rabbi, and I moved a small tree over to the center of the mid-ground to represent the couple's life as they grow together.
