"OOOOhhh my GOD, I have just been blessed. I am fairly sure, that this was my dad's ship(though I have some slight wonders if it was the USCG CAMPBELL).This is definitely the type of ship he was on. He was 'forced' to retire (CPO, E-7),because of his heart, after "22 + years of his dedicated service. He realllly loved his work, as a "Storekeeper", thaty he was sooooo "DAMN GOOD IN MATH", was an understatement. He died, due to his heart (and more),after a great job, as an accountant (in Bakersfield,California),in Virginia (survived there,by his wife of many blessed years), in 1984,I do believe.I am his onmly son, who served in the U.S. Army,in Vietnam (x2),unsuccessfully,as a Bn Aid & Combat Medic.I realllly do miss him (and his wife,my step-mom,who died of a broken heart (+),about 1 1/2 years after dad).Thank you for this beautiful paintinig & the greatest of memories.

Thanks for your compliments. This is an icebreaker. Your father was on a 327" ship. The same type as the Ingham shown on this web site. Bill

William; These are great paintings. You've 'got what it takes' illustrating marine subjects. Keep it up.
