I enjoyed painting this piece of plovers dozing on the beach in the surf. I worked from a photo taken by my friend photographer Darlene Freas.

Deborah was born in Akron, Ohio, and during her childhood, she spent several years in Northern France and Quebec, Canada. After graduation from Ohio State University with a B.A. in Communications, Deborah lived near Los Angeles, California, where she worked in and around the medical and entertainment fields for more than a dozen years. She has always dabbled in both creative and performing arts. Currently, Deborah lives with her husband on a small horse farm in Maryland.
