Love the artist & picture. Unfortunately, the print quality NOT so much. Picture was crooked on Both sides and one side was lower so bottom of cheetah's jaw was cut off! After a 5 day wait, awesome customer service, refunded entire purchase!!!

This is a restoration of a Vogue Picture Record Illustration. The record was manufactured between 1946 - 1947. It was a 10 inch, 78 RPM record. Please Note: THIS IS NOT A RECORD, It is art that was placed on the record. This illustration appeared on Vogue R 774, on one side of the record. The record matrix number for this record is P 141. The song title on the record is Desert Fantasy (Scheherazade), performed by Sonny Dunham And His Orchestra. The illustrator of the original art is unknown. This version only shows the illustration. The restoration of this record was a very laborious task. I used several different references to recreate the look of the record when it was originally created in the 1940's. Any blemish was removed, the colors restored, and where the record grooves where visible, those to were smoothed out. There is also a version of this illustration that includes the Title, Performer, and Matrix Number along with the illustration. in a rectangular piece of art. See...
My work is about the beauty of how forms work with each other, very similar to classical music. My work is free form, yet structured. The use of color, shapes and form blend with each other to give what I think are some remarkable effects. Each of my works evolves through many stages. Like an orchestral work, I create different elements on layers (like the different instruments in an orchestra). These layers overlap, some being transparent, some bold and bright. As I create, I tweak each aspect of the art until I am satisfied with the finished product.
