We go to San Antonio, Texas as often as we can. We even took the train from Fort Worth in 2010. but this was in August 2009. The weather was unbearably hot and the city was in the midst of one of its not uncommon droughts. Nevertheless, we walked south from our hotel - this was the first of many times when we have stayed at the Hyatt Riverwalk - it is not in the middle of the riverwalk festivities, but it is on the southern edge of that area and it overlooks the San Antonio River. We always like to stroll through the King William District which is on the river south of the better known riverwalk. This flour mill - home of White Wing and Pioneer brands - also has a terrific little restaurant and gift shop. This is a reworking of the original image.

I am a retired University lecturer, and I have been an avid photographer for some 50 years. My wife and I love to travel. We like to see the US and we have had some wonderful journeys over the past 20 years. We went to Peru and Ecuador where we saw and photographed the plains of Nazca, Machu Picchu, a bit of the Amazon rainforest, and of course, The Galapagos. Less than a year later we spent two weeks driving around England (her birthplace.) In 2012, we traveled to France. We began in Nice on The Cote d'Azur.
