I've been interested in art all my life. Colors, forms,techniques of bringing three dimensional life to painting, all these have been exciting. But the main achievement in art is to relate to the viewer. Images are powerful, and often bring new understandings to both the artist and viewer. Beginining as a young man in high school, I took correspondence courses. The workday world, in which I was a supervisor at General Motors, left little time to pursue my interest. As a father of three, that interest took precedence over art. I did study art whenever time allowed. After I retired, I studied at LaFarge, and at Elder Hostel courses.
