OOh my...what a capture! l/f

Kelly Awad replied:

Thanks Lynn, they throw up these ugly retainer walls now when it floods and you can't get near the water.

What an amazing moment, the flood at its peak, and an amazing timely capture.......kudos.... f.v...............VIVA

Kelly Awad replied:

Thank you so much Viva!

Looks as if he was trying to get help! What an apt title and great shot, Kelly!

Kelly Awad replied:

It sure does! Good eye gal! lol

Kelly Awad replied:

Thank you Belinda!

Great capture!!

Kelly Awad replied:

Thank you so much Sharon! It was a once in a lifetime shot too, because the statue got moved to much higher ground!

great shot and title!

Kelly Awad replied:

Thanks Belinda! Glad I got it then too, cuz they're on much higher ground now!

Kelly Awad replied:

This is about where the water is again, but the statue has been moved as you saw in Lewis and Clark Arriving at Laclede's Landing.

Yikes! Was this a historic flood?

Kelly Awad replied:

Yes it is Barbie, 2012, St. Louis, Mo. 37 feet above flood stage. The statue has since been moved to higher grounds, and the sculptor was impressed that he could not find a single weld mark, although it was cut into 8 separate pieces!

Very nice capture...

Kelly Awad replied:

Thank you Sorin! I have never seen it look like this, before or since!

Great shot!

Kelly Awad replied:

Thanx Christy!

Great time to get a unique perspective of the statue! Excellent F/V

Kelly Awad replied:

I've seen it go over his hat too, but the shot was no good! LOL

Kelly Awad replied:

Another great capture! F/V

Kelly Awad replied:

Thanks Jim! The water isn't even touching the statue now. lol

Too funny. vote

Kelly Awad replied:

Thanx Jake!

I bought this tapestry for my mother who is in the final stages of lung caner. I wanted to brighten her room and bring her some cheer. I paid extra to have it shipped Next Day Air. We received the package 5 days after ordering. However, I was very diappointed at the taperstry when I opened it. It is very blurry and distorted. The fabric is OKAY somewhat thin, but not terrible. I have ordered many tapestries from another company recently as Christmas gifts for 1/2 the price that are way better quality and very clear and vibrant. I will not order again from Fine Art America....

Excellent quality. I am so pleased with my purchase, it's much better than I imagined. The image is crisp clear and the fabric is very good quality and hemmed all around. I have bought it to hang in my apartment in Tenerife which we have called The Kestrels as these birds fly and hover around it all day. I can't wait to return and hang it on the wall.

This is becoming the focal point of a four poster bed canopy.

It’s been almost two months and I still haven’t gotten my package after contacting Fine Art America multiple times. Would not buy from them again.

Is so perfect the way that this tapestry fits my bedroom wall! Love it

Artist's Description

This Sculpture by Harry Walker is located on Laclede's Landing, near the Arch, in downtown St. Louis. Under normal conditions the water would actually be about 100 yards away from the statue, so the "Waters Up" as a title really fits.
