The Abstract Sunset Over Sagrada is absolutely beautiful! It’s hanging at our stairway landing and is a lovely reminder of our amazing trip to Spain everytime we go upstairs! Thank you for capturing so perfectly!

We do not have many Veronica Lake's color pictures. The best one, I think, and indeed a famous, was in Time magazine (1942), with a fine glorious dress from the movie I married a witch. Here, black and white picture, but with her beautiful blue eyes, and temperate red lips : colour added, an artistic work : une réussite. Wood Frame for the right place : OK. So, many thanks to V.L, to the creative work and Fine Art A.

Fine Actress, very nice (short !) Girl/Woman, real blonde with navy blue eyes...no surgery, smart, charming voice, cute (see BR : I married a witch !), and here, with some Fine Art, back to life : red lips (as at the Time, or Marilyn in Niagara, and many other actresses, beautiful hair. Convenient Frame in its simplicity, (very) quick sending. All right ! So *****, thanks from France, and greetings/ G.L.

Lovely art print, exquisitely reproduced and framed. I am impressed with the quality!

Artist's Description

Oil and wax have been painted onto an acrylic cotton canvas. The canvas has been painted with gesso and stretched onto heavy duty stretcher bars by the artist. The high gloss varnish coats the entire piece bringing out the highlights in marine hues.

About Martine Letoile

I first started to paint in the late nineties. At that time I was able to experiment with all kinds of textured mediums, one being wax, preferably paraffin wax, since it sticks to the canvas well. Working in this medium has helped me let the process find itself. I only have a certain amount of control with melted wax and it dictates where the flow of the painting will go. I categorize myself as an deconstructionist because I like to build up the surface and then tear it down by stripping away the wax to leave an exposed piece of canvas. With the raw part of the canvas showing, it contrasts itself against a slick, smooth, richly painted surface. This technique gives way to a burst of light coming from within the painting where it is seen...
