Description
Website source code visualisation, computer artwork. This image was created using WEB2DNA software which is able to transform the source code of a website into an image featuring bands and gaps, similar to a DNA autoradiogram. Source codes for creating websites are written using Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML), a text-based computer language that is converted into web pages by graphical browsers. The WEB2DNA software recognises HTML tags, script elements and frames, and displays these as lines. Text is displayed as gaps. The brightness of the line is determined by the importance of the tag in the structure. WEB2DNA was created by computer artist Thomas Baekdal.
