Harriet Tubman's home in Auburn, New York, is a tangible reminder of the Underground Railroad and it's role in rescuing an estimated 100,000 enslaved people of African descent in the mid-19th century.
Harriet Tubman--abolitionist, humanitarian, Union spy & suffragette--escaped slavery n the South to become a powerful advocate and activist for abolition.
