Description
Westringia White Rambler (Westringia hybrid)
This is a developed Hybrid I purchased at the local native nursery.
I required a dense, bushy. low growing plant with flowers, that could handle sand soil and limited water during the summer.
This plant has excelled.
Westringia is a genus of Australian shrubs. As with other members of the mint family their upper petal (or lip) is divided into two lobes. There are four stamens - the upper two are fertile while the lower two are reduced to staminodes. The leaves are in whorls of 3 or 4
Westringia has been found in the wild in all 6 states of Australia, as well as on Norfolk Island, but not in the Northern Territory. “Wikipedia”
The petals on this flower is less that 10mm long and if you look at high resolution you can see the fine hairs that trap the pollen and direct to the ovules.

Elaine, Thank you for your nice comment. It is a very small flower from a green/grey bush. the flower is often hidden in the bush. It common name is Coastal Rosemary and is in many sandy areas. This is a hybrid could not get a WA native.
