I bought this tapestry for my mother who is in the final stages of lung caner. I wanted to brighten her room and bring her some cheer. I paid extra to have it shipped Next Day Air. We received the package 5 days after ordering. However, I was very diappointed at the taperstry when I opened it. It is very blurry and distorted. The fabric is OKAY somewhat thin, but not terrible. I have ordered many tapestries from another company recently as Christmas gifts for 1/2 the price that are way better quality and very clear and vibrant. I will not order again from Fine Art America....

Excellent quality. I am so pleased with my purchase, it's much better than I imagined. The image is crisp clear and the fabric is very good quality and hemmed all around. I have bought it to hang in my apartment in Tenerife which we have called The Kestrels as these birds fly and hover around it all day. I can't wait to return and hang it on the wall.

This is becoming the focal point of a four poster bed canopy.

It’s been almost two months and I still haven’t gotten my package after contacting Fine Art America multiple times. Would not buy from them again.

Is so perfect the way that this tapestry fits my bedroom wall! Love it

Artist's Description

These white pines are on a point of land in the southwest basin of Singleton Lake. The soil conditions are marginal at best to support trees. The island is mainly rock - marble to be more precise. I really like white pines. They soar above the rest of the trees that comprise the forest canopy and provide safe nesting sites for osprey and eagles and certainly a host of other wild life. We need more white pines and I have planted a lot of them on our Singleton Lake property. The cirrus clouds were foretelling the approaching winter storm and an abrupt change in the weather. I had to get in as much paddling as I could before the cold front and real winter weather arrived. The accompanying radar image shows the precipitation fro the evening of the following day. The warm front had moved across Singleton Lake with snow changing to rain. The associated cold front was crossing eastern Lake Superior at the same time on its way to Singleton Lake. Winter was fast approaching. A closer look a...

About Phil Chadwick

Trained at Queens University as a nuclear physicist, Phil the Forecaster has been a professional meteorologist since 1976. Painting has however been his passion forever. For ten years, he studied under the late Mario Airomi, a famous Italian artist. Phil paints what he knows best: weather, nature, canoes and his family. There are not enough hours in the day to record the inspiration that abounds. Phil paints mainly en plein air striving for impressionistic realism. Something intangible and sometimes magical enters the art when one is actually out in the elements surrounded by inspiration. Bold colours and shapes can be found in the natural world if you only look. Phils art hangs in many private and corporate collections around the...
