Artist's Description
Who blinks first? by Karen Cook - Sigh...boys will be boys! These two male ring necked pheasants are locked in a battle to test each other's determination and mettle. The winner not only determines the pecking order in the flock, but most importantly, who wins the attention of the females or hens in the flock.
Eyes staring at their challenger, their fleshy red eye patches adding a look of menace to their face, it is a game of who blinks first.
