Description
This is part of a very large painting I did a couple of years ago. The original was 6 foot square and the biggest painting I had ever done. I had a great time doing it although I had to sit on the floor to paint the lower areas as I didn't have enough ceiling height to allow me to raise it up. I love the whole idea of masks and masquerade. It's something about other the parts of our personality that come out when we hide our identity.
There is a possibility that I can get a high quality photo this work soon and will be able to offer it as a very large reproduction.

Too long away from your magnificent gallery. This gives everything I would want to take in of harleguins. Stunning Suzanne, and so giving for the viewer. Thank you. l/f

What a lovely, lively painting! Add me to the list of people who would also love to see this in person.

Thanks Robin-lee and Gregory for such nice comments. The original is very large Gregory, 6 x 6 foot, but the picture on FAA is only the top part of it.

Thank you Natalie and Walter. We are all fools at one time or another. You may be interested to see the other work I did using the central figure from Who's the Fool. It's called Jester and is a hand painted block print.

This is great piece Susanne in color scheme, composition and subject matter. Aren't all of us humans sometimes fools, or pretend to be fools. For artists it's a good thing to be a fool from time to time, it sparks and kindles our imagination leading to un-forseen beautiful work! This is really a great piece Susanne!
