One of nature's most spectacularly beautiful creatures, the mute swan, glides across the clear blue waters of a gently rippling pond. The sunny April morning spent near the Presqui'le Nature Center in Ontario Canada has started out with a glorious surprise.
Though the word "mute" ... the first part of our friend's name ... means silent, the mute swan actually does makes some noises, though it is less noisy than other swans such as the whooper and Bewick. The mute swan makes various snorting, whistling and grunting sounds, most often in communicating with their babies. Intruders and competitors will get an earful of hissing and even more aggressive behavior.
"Wild Beauty Painted" is a hand-painted digital art representation based on one of my recent photographic uploads, "Wild Beauty." Just one more version to go ... but I'll wait a bit on that one.
Fine art purchases of this image will not include a watermark, and if I may make a recommendation ... this image will look its very best on the fine art paper choice of "picture rag."
